Owner and Senior Floorsander Heath Nixon formerly an IT specialist, trained and worked for a leading Auckland Floorsanding company before starting up Active Floorsanding Services Ltd.
Heath recently completed the National Certificate in Flooring - 'Fine Sand & Applicating', completing it January 2010, thus giving our customers the reassurance of an experienced and NZQA trade qualified flooring expert, with the sound knowledge and capabilty to provide a professional job everytime. Craig Hutchins - an experienced floorsander who boasts 8 years flooring experience, also specialising in floor preparation prior to laying vinyl, cork and carpet, thin-board (Thin-line) and matrix (levelling compound) application and level sanding. Craig is currently studing towards the National certificate in flooring.
Even though the Flooring industry currently does NOT require flooring tradesman to be certified we believe all our tradesman should be flooring certified or working towards certification thus giving peace of mind to our paying customers. Homeowners, hotels, landlords, shop fitters, builders, architects, councils, schools, kitchen and bathroom designers, kindergartens, art galleries, clubs, pubs, restaurants and polytechs, are just some of the people and places that have benefited from having their floors done by Active Floorsanding Services. We are also a Recommended Repairer for a number of New Zealand Insurance and Restoration Companies.
